I’m Ethan - The person behind VOLO
I'm a travel advisor based in Sydney, and VOLO is my travel advisory: real trips, planned properly, for people who want their time off to actually count.
Before VOLO, I spent my career in emergency healthcare — the kind of shifts where you learn fast what a proper break is actually worth.
That's really where this started. For years, the thing that got me through wasn't the leave itself; it was having the next trip booked. A fixed point on the horizon — somewhere to aim for on the hard weeks, something to plan in the quiet ones. Travel stopped being a holiday and became the thing that reset me.
I'm the one who plans it
In every group, there's the person who plans the trip. I've always been that one. The restaurant booked for the right night, the hotel picked for the view you didn't know to ask for, the day paced so nobody's rushing or running on empty — I think about all of it, because getting the little things right is what makes a trip feel effortless.
Honestly, it comes down to something simple: I just want people to have the best time. Not a good-enough time — the kind of trip they talk about for years. That's the whole reason VOLO exists.
What VOLO is
A personal travel advisory — real itineraries, planned around your life,
not a package pulled off a shelf.
Through Fora, I have Preferred Partner access across 5,000-plus hotels, including the world's best groups — Four Seasons, Rosewood, Marriott STARS and more. In plain terms: I can book you the same stay you'd find yourself, at the same rate, but with VIP perks added on top and a real person behind it.
The booking is the easy part, though. What I care about is the trip — planned properly, paced so it never feels rushed, and built around how you actually travel. Whether that's a single night booked with perks or a month across five countries with every leg handled, the standard's the same.
